I also wrote my own email client (in Ruby), which 
means I can control how it handles the subject. 
For a while I had it ignoring anything inside 
square brackets for its sort. Then I decided I 
liked to view the messages in chronological order 
so I took that part out.

I'm ok with or without the message numbers in the 
subject.
