発売してすぐに注文出していた CJKV Information Processingがようや
く届いたのですが、XMLとの絡みでRubyが紹介されていました。

その辺引用します。

  Masato Yoshida (吉田正人) has written an XML Parser Module
  for Ruby that uses Expat.  As a side note, Ruby is relatively
  new object-oriented programming language whose facilities are
  similar to those in Perl, Python, and Tcl, and includes 
  modules for handling Japanese encodings and Unicode (UTF-8 
  and UCS-2), called Kconv and Uconv, respectively.
