Issue #14461 has been updated by f3ndot (Justin Bull).

Apologies, this looks like a bug in rdoc that was resolved late 2017:

https://github.com/ruby/rdoc/pull/435

I've confirmed I can see `.alphanumeric` method in my own local rdoc (v6.0.1) output. Informed the maintainers of http://ruby-doc.org/ and they're checking their pipeline.

----------------------------------------
Bug #14461: Public SecureRandom.alphanumeric method does not appear in rdoc generated documentation
https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/14461#change-70290

* Author: f3ndot (Justin Bull)
* Status: Open
* Priority: Normal
* Assignee:
* Target version:
* ruby -v: 2.5.0p0
* Backport: 2.3: UNKNOWN, 2.4: UNKNOWN, 2.5: UNKNOWN
----------------------------------------
The `private def` keywords for methods above the `SecureRandom.alphanumeric` definition (method via #10849) appear to have caused rdoc generation to not output anything for the method.

See http://ruby-doc.org/stdlib-2.5.0/libdoc/securerandom/rdoc/SecureRandom.html for evidence of it being absent from rdoc generated documentation.

Speaking with one of the ruby-doc maintainers, he was the one who suggested this was the root cause of the missing entry.

This issue & patch is also reflected on GitHub: https://github.com/ruby/ruby/pull/1814
