While working on that .document patch I noticed that rdoc grew to
about 124MB.  I wonder if anyone else has had similar experience,
and if anyone is concerned about this.  [The machnes I'm building
this on are rather old so don't have so much memory. I've not been
able to get anything done about that.]  Maybe it creates loads of 
symbols -- I haven't looked yet.
