Apparently instruby.rb use fileutils rather than ftools, consequence

pigeon% ls -ld aa bb
ls: aa: No such file or directory
ls: bb: No such file or directory
pigeon%

pigeon% ruby -rfileutils -ve 'File.umask(0); FileUtils.mkdir("aa")'
ruby 1.8.0 (2003-01-12) [i686-linux]
pigeon%

pigeon% ruby -rftools.rb -ve 'File.umask(0); File.makedirs("bb")'
ruby 1.8.0 (2003-01-12) [i686-linux]
pigeon%

pigeon% ls -ld aa bb
drwxrwsrwx 2 ts ts 1024 Jan 13 13:52 aa/
drwxr-sr-x 2 ts ts 1024 Jan 13 13:53 bb/
pigeon%
