I have looked a the code in pack.c --- This is the problem I am having
with a lot
of Ruby Core Code:

I can follow the logic of the code -- But here is the problem

Without knowing WHY something is being done - a lot of the code does not
make sense (at least right away). I keep plugging away at it (being
disabled
gives you a lot of time to fill!) -

Can you describe in a paragraph WHAT is being Done and WHY this FLAG
and PACK.c are doing to support it :-|
