At present, no, there is not a patch against HEAD. I choose to do the initial sydney work against 1.8.2 because I didnt want a moving target with relation to testing. Had I done the work against HEAD, I could have easily hit bugs that stopped be from going forward that were unrelated to my work. That being said, it is entirely possible for me to do a patch against HEAD. I havent done it yet because I suspect it will take me about a week and I dont want to spend the time unless it's actually going to be accepted into HEAD. Perhaps now is the time for me to beginning talking with Matzsan, Nobusan, and other core developers about if/how that can happen. Matz, Nobu: Thoughts?
