Hello, The Ruby Association is looking to give grants for development projects related to Ruby implementations, libraries and frameworks, including projects that improve existing software. http://www.ruby-assn.org/en/releases/20111025_grant.htm If you have a good idea, please submit a proposal. However, please note that we do not intend to fund development projects of Ruby applications for specific purposes because the aim of this grant is to improve Ruby and its environment. == Grant Size 500,000 yen (JPY) == Eligibility for applicants Any individual or organization can submit one or more proposals. == Selection process The grant committee will assess the proposals, and will select two projects from them. == Selection criteria Applications will be judged on the following criteria (in no particular order): * Impact on the productivity and performance of Ruby and its environment * Originality and creativity of the project * Feasibility of the project == Evaluations Accepted applicants are required to submit two reports: the intermediate report and the final report. The grant committee will evaluate them. == Copyrights and licenses of the deliverables Accepted applicants will retain all rights of the deliverables. However, the deliverables are required to be licensed under one or more OSI approved licenses.
