How to prevent memory leaks? Is there a simple way to just "collect
everything that Ruby has allocated"? Hmí─ Doesn't that mean I'll also
have to initialize Ruby every time I want to compile something?

Also, what's the simplest way to create a static library that includes
just the compiler and its dependencies?
