There are a some fairly intrusive (but very important to me)
improvements to IO.copy_stream in trunk/1.9.3 which does proper EINTR
handling.

I rely on this behavior so I use the 1.9.3 branch myself, but maybe
others have reasons to stick to 1.9.2 and benefit from these fixes...

akr would be the best person to ask about the feasibility+effort of
backporting these to 1.9.2
