Hello,

repeatedly there are people asking to move ruby development to git.

This is understandable because svn hard for people outside the core to
use and the git mirror is available but hidden.

If you go to Ruby download page at

http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/

you can get a release tarball, a snapshot tarball, and a link to core
page in case you wanted Subversion repository.

No mention of git there.

You can use git-svn if you want to use the Subversion repository with
a reasonable VCS but that requires more sophistication than just
checking out the git mirror which is already available.

I suggest that the Ruby Core link description is reformulated so that
it either names all resources available or is vague enough that it
does not give the impression that you need not look there fore a git
repository because there is none.

Thanks

Michal
