http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/2146

Author: Roger Pack
Status: Open, Priority: Normal
ruby -v: Using ruby 1.8.6 (2009-03-31 patchlevel 368) [i386-mingw32]

situation [1.8.6, not 1.9.x--it works fine there]

C:\dev\blade_copy\digitalarchive_trunk>irb
>> exec('mysql.exe', '-uroot')
Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory - mysql.exe
        from (irb):1:in `exec'
        from (irb):1
>> exec('mysql.exe')
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.

Much thanks.
