Issue #1753 has been updated by Shyouhei Urabe. Status changed from Open to Assigned Assigned to set to Kirk Haines I heard that this bug has been fixed for trunk and ruby_1_8. I've also backported that fix to 1.8.7. Sorry for not checking other branches e.g, 1.8.6.
